Kawakawa — 1 night

Kawakawa is a small town in the Northland Region of northern New Zealand. Bay Of Islands Vintage Railway has been added to your itinerary. Start off your visit on the 29th (Thu): Head underground at Kawiti Caves, contemplate the long history of Ruapekapeka Pa Track, learn about all things military at Kawakawa Memorial Library Centre, then make a trip to Kawakawa Public Toilets by Hundertwasser, and finally take a memorable tour with Bay Of Islands Vintage Railway. Traveling by car from Kawakawa to Rawene takes an hour. Alternatively, you can drive. On the 31st (Sat), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can drive to Opononi.

Opononi and Omapere are dual settlements on the south shore of the Hokianga harbour in Northland Region, New Zealand.
