Unequivocally dedicated to tourism, the small village of Bunratty remains best known for its medieval castle, indisputably the most visited attraction in the region.
Get outdoors at Cliffs of Moher and Burren National Park. Venture out of the city with trips to Hag's Head (in Liscannor), Doolin Cave (in Doolin) and Ballyvaughan (Aillwee Cave & Burren Birds of Prey Centre). There's still lots to do: kick back and relax at Lahinch Beach and explore the historical opulence of Bunratty Castle & Folk Park.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major airports are Dublin Airport, Shannon Airport and Cork Airport. In October, daily temperatures in Bunratty can reach 58°F, while at night they dip to 47°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 7th (Sun) to allow time to travel back home.
