Tacuarembo

— 28 nights
Established by presidential decree in 1831, Tacuarembo grew over time into the capital of its eponymous department, largely because of its agricultural industry fed by the Tacuarembo river that flows through the northern part of town.
Take a break from Tacuarembo with a short trip to Painted buildings in San Gregorio de Polanco, about 1h 50 min away. The adventure continues: see the interesting displays at Museo Carlos Gardel, pause for some serene contemplation at Saint Fructuosus Cathedral, stroll through Gruta de los Helechos, and have fun at Polideportivo Tacuarembo.

To see traveler tips, reviews, photos, and other tourist information, you can read our Tacuarembo trip maker site.

Expect a daytime high around 18°C in September, and nighttime lows around 11°C. On the 30th (Wed), you'll travel back home.
