Capital of the Inca Empire for three centuries, World Heritage-listed Cusco is now a major tourist destination, drawing nearly 2 million annual tourists with its well-preserved colonial architecture and proximity to Machu Picchu.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Sacsayhuaman and Plaza de Armas. Take a break from the city and head to Nature & Wildlife Tours and exploor. Change things up with a short trip to Archaeological Park Ollantaytambo in Ollantaytambo (about 1h 50 min away). There's still lots to do: admire the striking features of Centro Historico De Cusco, steep yourself in history at Sacred Valley of the Incas, explore the ancient world of Tambomachay, and get engrossed in the history at Museo Inka.

You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Supay Beach and Yumaque Beach. Get outdoors at Playa El Raspon and Parasailing & Paragliding. Founded in 1535 by Spanish explorer Francisco Pizarro, Lima represents an interesting blend of modern attractions and preserved colonial architecture, much of it clustered in the World Heritage-listed city center.
Step out of the city life by going to Playa Santa Maria del Mar and Balneario Embajadores. Visit Playa Penascal and Playa Kon-Tiki for some beach relaxation. There's lots more to do: steep yourself in history at Huaca Pucllana, get engrossed in the history at Museo Larco, take in the spiritual surroundings of San Pedro Church (Iglesia de San Pedro), and explore the galleries of Galeria Indigo.
