You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.
Spend the 20th (Sun) immersed in therapeutic waters at a local thermal spa. There's much more to do: ponder the world of politics at Parliament, take in the spiritual surroundings of Dohány Street Synagogue, see the interesting displays at House of Terror Museum, and appreciate the history behind Hősök tere.

Venice, Italy to Budapest is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a shuttle. Expect little chillier evenings in Budapest when traveling from Venice in May, with lows around 50°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 24th (Thu) to allow time to take a train to Vienna.

Kick off your visit on the 25th (Fri): admire the natural beauty at Schonbrunn Palace and then admire the masterpieces at Belvedere Palace. On the next day, see the interesting displays at Imperial Palace (Hofburg), then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. Mary's on the Bank (Maria Am Gestade), and then pause for some serene contemplation at St. Stephen's Cathedral.

You can take a train from Budapest to Vienna in 2.5 hours. Other options are to drive; or take a bus. May in Vienna sees daily highs of 67°F and lows of 50°F at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 26th (Sat) early enough to travel to Prague.
