Bangui, or Bangî in Sango, formerly written Bangi in English, is the capital and largest city of the Central African Republic. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Les Chutes de Boali (Boali Waterfalls) and Marche Central (Central Market). Spend the 11th (Wed) exploring nature at Bamingui-Bangoran National Park. There's lots more to do: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Notre-Dame of Bangui Cathedral, contemplate the waterfront views at Oubangui River, examine the collection at Musee de Boganda (Boganda Museum), and take in the spiritual surroundings of The Big Mosque.

For more things to do, reviews, where to stay, and more tourist information, read our Bangui driving holiday planner.

Berlin, Germany to Bangui is an approximately 17.5-hour flight. In April in Bangui, expect temperatures between 39°C during the day and 26°C at night. On the 5th (Sat), you're off tohome.
