Banja Luka

Banja Luka, ) or Banjaluka is the largest city and the de facto capital of the Republika Srpska entity and second largest city in Bosnia and Herzegovina after the capital Sarajevo. Get out of town with these interesting Banja Luka side-trips: Old Town Kljuc (in Kljuc), Pliva Lakes (in Jajce) and Hamzibegova Dzamija (in Sanski-Most). There's still lots to do: get your bearings at Banski Dvor, see the interesting displays at Museum of Republika Sprska, walk around Petar Kocic Park, and pause for some serene contemplation at Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, Banja Luka.

Travnik is a town and municipality in central Bosnia and Herzegovina, 90km west of Sarajevo. Kick off your visit on the 15th (Tue): admire the masterpieces at Museum Birth House of Nobel Prize Winner Ivo Andric and then take in the spiritual surroundings of Sarena Dzamija. On the 16th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Vlasic Mountain, then make a trip to Stari grad, and then steep yourself in history at Tvrdava Stari grad.
