One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Myeongdong Shopping Street and Shinsegae Dept. Store Main. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Hwaseong Fortress and Hwaseong Haenggung Palace. Get out of town with these interesting Seoul side-trips: Seonamgangnu Pavilion (in Suwon) and Incheon (Songdo Central Park & Incheon Bridge). Spend the 26th (Mon) exploring nature at Bukhansan National Park. Spend the 30th (Fri) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. The adventure continues: get engrossed in the history at Gyeongbokgung Palace, pause for some photo ops at Gwanghwamun Gate, admire the striking features of Changdeokgung Palace, and don't miss a visit to Changgyeonggung Palace.
