Kasteel de Haar and Railway Museum (Het Spoorwegmuseum) will appeal to museum buffs. Do some cultural sightseeing at Canals area and Muurhuizen. Explore Utrecht's surroundings by going to Leersumse Veld (in Leersum), Huis Doorn (in Doorn) and Andrieskerk (in Amerongen). There's much more to do: look for all kinds of wild species at Nationaal Park Utrechtse Heuvelrug, pause for some serene contemplation at Torenpleinkerk van Vleuten uit 1224, enjoy breathtaking views from Dom Tower, and contemplate the long history of Koppelpoort.

Get some cultural insight at Gongendo Sakura Tsutsumi and Japan Mint Saitama Museum. Visit Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine and Kitain for their historical value. Change things up with these side-trips from Kawagoe: Campbelltown Forest of Wild Birds (in Koshigaya), Ogose-machi (Saishoji Temple, Kamiyatsuno Okusuu, &more) and Poppy Happy Square (in Konosu). The largest city on the island, Fukuoka formed through the merger of two former cities that had grown up either side of the Naka River.
Dazaifu Tenman-gu and Fukuoka Asian Art Museum are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Your inner history buff will appreciate Kushida Shrine and Komyozen-ji Temple. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Fukuoka: Soeda-machi (Takasumi Shrine, Hoheiden, &more), Onojo - Chikuzenkoku (in Onojo) and Koishiwarayaki Traditional Industry Plaza (in Toho-mura). Next up on the itinerary: get great views at Ishizumi Rice Terraces, take in the spiritual surroundings of Tenkai Inari Shrine, look for all kinds of wild species at Fukuoka Prefecture Ryokuchi Center, and contemplate the long history of Nanzoin.

Traveling by combination of bus and flight from Kawagoe to Fukuoka takes 5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and flight; or drive. The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Haedong Yonggung Temple and Gyeongju National Museum. Get some historical perspective at Beomeosa Temple and Gyeongju Eupseong. Change things up with these side-trips from Busan: Anapji Pond (in Gyeongju) and Ulsan Theme Botanic Garden (in Ulsan). There's still lots to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Haeundae Beach, make a trip to Haeundae Cinema Street, hunt for treasures at Jagalchi Market, and stroll through Yongdusan Park.

You can fly from Fukuoka to Busan in 3 hours. Another option is to ride a ferry. Traveling from Fukuoka in November, Busan is little chillier at night with lows of 6°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 16th (Mon) to allow time to travel to Jeju.

Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Gwaneumsa Temple and Neobeunsungi April 3rd Incident Memorial Hall. Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Jeju Folklore & Natural Museum and Jeju World Natural Heritage Center. When in Jeju, make a side trip to see Seongsan Ilchulbong in Seogwipo, approximately Seogwipo away. There's still lots to do: identify plant and animal life at Sangumburi Crater, explore the world behind art at Jeju Museum of Art, see the interesting displays at Jeju National Museum, and Head underground at Manjanggul Cave.

Let the collections at Gyeongbokgung Palace and National Museum of Korea capture your imagination. Changdeokgung Palace and Insadong are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get out of town with these interesting Seoul side-trips: Suwon (Banghwasuryujeong Pavilion (Dongbukgakru), Hwaseong Fortress, &more). There's still lots to do: get to know the fascinating history of Cheonggyecheon Stream, get a taste of the local shopping with Myeongdong Shopping Street, explore the world behind art at Leeum Samsung Museum of Art, and wander the streets of Bukchon Hanok Village.

Fly from Jeju to Seoul in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of ferry and train; or do a combination of ferry and car. Expect a daytime high around 13°C in November, and nighttime lows around 3°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 25th (Wed) early enough to travel back home.
