One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
You'll get in some beach time at Hanagae Beach and Wangsan Beach. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Bukhansan National Park and Gwanghwamun Gate. Get out of town with these interesting Seoul side-trips: Incheon (Eulwangni Beach, Songdo Central Park, &more). There's much more to do: don't miss a visit to Insadong, appreciate the history behind Statue of Sejong the Great, enjoy the scholastic atmosphere at Ewha Womans University, and see the interesting displays at Trickeye Museum Seoul.

Vancouver, Canada to Seoul is an approximately 13-hour flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 17 hours traveling from Vancouver to Seoul. Prepare for somewhat warmer weather when traveling from Vancouver in September: high temperatures in Seoul hover around 26°C and lows are around 25°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 14th (Wed) to allow time to fly to Busan.

Busan, South Korea — 5 nights

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Relax by the water at Gwangalli Beach and Songdo Beach. Take a break from the city and head to Haeundae Beach and Songjeong Beach. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Busan: Ulsan (Taehwa River Seepri Bamboo Grove, Taehwagang National Garden, &more). There's lots more to do: take a stroll through Busan Gamcheon Culture Village, admire the landmark architecture of Busan Cinema Centre, see the interesting displays at Trick Eye Museum, and don't miss a visit to Haeundae Dalmaji-gil Road.

Fly from Seoul to Busan in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or drive. While traveling from Seoul, expect somewhat warmer days and slightly colder nights in Busan, ranging from highs of 30°C to lows of 21°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 19th (Mon) so you can fly to Jeju.

Island of the Gods

The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju, has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO. The World Heritage-listed volcanic island includes the country's highest peak, sets of impressive lava tubes and columns, and several crater lakes.
Get in touch with nature at Hamdeok Beach and Jeju Stone Park. We've included these beaches for you: Woljeongri Beach and Sehwa Beach. Step out of Jeju with an excursion to Scuba & Snorkeling in Seogwipo--about 40 minutes away. The adventure continues: get outside with Geumneung Eutteumwon Beach, get great views at Udo Island Lighthouse Park, explore the fascinating underground world of Manjanggul Cave, and walk around Jeju April 3rd Peace Park.

Traveling by flight from Busan to Jeju takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of train, taxi, and ferry. Traveling from Busan in September, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be somewhat warmer in Jeju, with lows of 26°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 25th (Sun) to allow time for the flight to Singapore.
