Known for its wide range of restaurants and traditional pubs, Kenmare sits along two major Irish tourist routes, the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara.
Change things up with these side-trips from Kenmare: Bantry (Bantry House & Garden, Beicin Loop, & more), Glengarriff (Garinish Island & Beara Way) and Staigue Fort (in Castlecove). Spend the 25th (Fri) exploring the striking scenery along Slea Head Drive. On the 2nd (Sat), hike the day away at The Dingle Way. There's much more to do: step off the mainland to explore Skellig Michael, get outside with Ring of Beara, kick back and relax at Inchydoney Beach, and explore the striking landscape of Gougane Barra National Forest Park.

In October, daytime highs in Kenmare are 17°C, while nighttime lows are 10°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 18th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
