Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Tokyo National Museum and Imperial Palace will appeal to history buffs. Get some cultural insight at Edo-Tokyo Museum and Odaiba. Step out of Tokyo with an excursion to Ghibli Museum in Mitaka--about 44 minutes away. Have a day of magic on the 20th (Thu) at Tokyo Disneyland. There's much more to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Senso-ji Temple, admire the striking features of Tokyo Tower, view the masterpieces at Art Jeunesse Akihabara, and wander the streets of Asakusa.

The castle around which the city of Himeji has developed represents one of the best preserved in the country, and has been designated as a national treasure and a World Heritage Site.
On the 17th (Mon), make a trip to Shoshazan Engyoji, take in nature's colorful creations at Kokoen Garden, then step into the grandiose world of Himeji Castle, and finally make a trip to Otemae Street.

Do some cultural sightseeing at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and Hiroshima Castle. Popular historic sites such as Miyajima and Itsukushima Shrine are in your itinerary.
