Gap is a commune in southeastern France, the capital and largest town of the Hautes-Alpes department. Let the collections at Fondation Alexandra David Neel and Musee Europeen de l'Aviation de Chasse capture your imagination. Attractions like Les Karellis and Apiland Nature make great kid-friendly stops. Explore Gap's surroundings by going to Musée Opinel (in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne), Embrun (Abbaye de Boscodon & Plan d'Eau d'Embrun) and Les Forts de l'Esseillon (in Aussois). There's much more to do: stroll through Sentier Planetaire, examine the collection at Musee de la Grande Chartreuse, relax and rejuvenate at some of the top local wellness centers, and head outdoors with Gorges du Toulourenc.

To see ratings, maps, and other tourist information, refer to the Gap vacation planner.

If you are flying in from Israel, the closest major airports are Grenoble-Isère Airport, Chambéry-Savoie Airport and Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 10th (Tue) so you can travel back home.
