Get some historical perspective at Tokyo National Museum and Fukagawa Edo Museum. Get some cultural insight at Sensō-ji and Edo-Tokyo Museum. Step out of Tokyo with an excursion to Ghibli Museum Mitaka in Mitaka--about 44 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: take a stroll through Odaiba, shop like a local with Asakusa, make a trip to Takeshita Street, and have some family-friendly fun at Owl cafe Akiba Fukurou.

Papeete, French Polynesia to Tokyo is an approximately 14-hour flight. You'll lose 19 hours traveling from Papeete to Tokyo due to the time zone difference. Plan for cooler temperatures traveling from Papeete in November, with highs in Tokyo at 19°C and lows at 11°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Sat) to allow enough time to travel to Kyoto.

Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Gion and Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Museum-lovers will get to explore Kyoto Museum of Traditional Crafts Fureaikan and Todaiji Temple Cultural Center. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Kyoto: Osaka (Dotonbori & Osaka Castle) and Nara Park (in Nara). Traveling by train from Tokyo to Kyoto takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or drive. In November in Kyoto, expect temperatures between 19°C during the day and 10°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 25th (Wed) so you can take a train to Hiroshima.

The village of Zamami-son in the western Kerama Islands spans four of the islands in the group, one of which remains uninhabited.
You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Gahijima Sand Dune and Hizushi Beach. Take a break from the city and head to Nishibama Beach and Aka Beach. There's more to do: stroll through Furuzamami Beach and kick back and relax at Aharen Beach.
