You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.

Balatonfüred is a popular resort town in Veszprém county, in Hungary, with a population of 13,000, situated on the northern shore of Lake Balaton. On the 1st (Tue), identify plant and animal life at Cuha Valley, then brush up on your military savvy at Kinizsi Castle, and then kick back and relax at Fonyodi Dog Bathing. Here are some ideas for day two: make a trip to Tagore Promenade and then stop by Tihanyi Levendula Manufaktura.

Tokaj, is a historical town in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county, Northern Hungary, 54 kilometers from county capital Miskolc. Start off your visit on the 6th (Sun): look for gifts at Basilicus Wine Culture Center, learn about winemaking at Dereszla Pinceszet, and then look for all kinds of wild species at Tokaj Wine Region.
