Pittsburgh — 21 nights

Known primarily for its steel-related heritage and 446 bridges, Pittsburgh sits at the confluence of the Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers, which meet to form the Ohio River.
Heinz Memorial Chapel and Johnstown Flood National Memorial will appeal to history buffs. Step off the beaten path and head to Coopers Rock State Forest and USS Requin. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Pittsburgh: John and Annie Glenn Historic Site (in New Concord), McConnells Mill State Park (in Portersville) and Lanterman's Mill (in Youngstown). The adventure continues: gain some tasty knowledge on Wigle Whiskey, steep yourself in history at Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Historic Village, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Saint Anthony Chapel, and admire the majestic nature at Pricketts Fort State Park.

To find ratings, traveler tips, other places to visit, and other tourist information, refer to the Pittsburgh vacation builder app.

In April, plan for daily highs up to 63°F, and evening lows to 43°F.
