Geysir — 3 nights

Geysir tourism revolves around a famed geyser, which goes from very calm to extremely volatile depending on the subterranean seismic activity at the time.
Get out of town with these interesting Geysir side-trips: Hveradalir (in Olfuss) and Gjain (in Svartsengi). There's lots more to do: witness a stunning natural landmark at Strokkur, admire the sheer force of Hjalparfoss, contemplate the geological forces at Hekla, and experience rural life at Fridheimar.

Toronto, Canada to Geysir is an approximately 11-hour combination of flight and bus. You'll lose 5 hours traveling from Toronto to Geysir due to the time zone difference. When traveling from Toronto in July, plan for colder days and a bit cooler nights in Geysir: temperatures range from 17°C by day to 10°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 19th (Wed) early enough to go by car to Vik.
