Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Acqua e Sale - Stabilimento Balneare and V Lounge Beach Club. Visit Basilica Papale di Santa Maria Maggiore and Centro Storico Associazione Centro Storico for their historical value. Change things up with these side-trips from Rome: Point Break (in Fregene) and Sabbianera Super Beach (in Anguillara Sabazia). Considered a cultural, artistic, and architectural jewel of Italy, Florence is the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance.
Visit Castello di Verrazzano and Campanile di Giotto for their historical value. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Food Tours and Riserva Naturale Lucciolabella. Venture out of the city with trips to Siena (Torre del Mangia, Piazza del Campo, &more) and Fattoria Casaloste (in Panzano in Chianti). On the 10th (Wed), take in the architecture and atmosphere at San Giorgio Maggiore, snap pictures at Ponte di Rialto, take in the local highlights with Walking tours, pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute, then take in the views from Ponte dei Sospiri, and finally enjoy breathtaking views from St Mark's Campanile.
