Aptly nicknamed the "Mile-High City," Denver sits at an altitude of 1,600 m (5,280 ft) above sea level, located right where the Great Plains give way to the Rocky Mountains.
Venture out of the city with trips to Evergreen (Echo Lake Park, Evergreen Lake, & more), Castle Rock (Hidden Mesa Open Space & Trail, Gateway Mesa Open Space Park, & more) and The Broomfield Bay Aquatic Park (in Broomfield). There's lots more to do: take in the awesome beauty at Mount Evans, meet the residents at Denver Zoo, sample the fine beverages at Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey Tour, and contemplate the long history of Denver Union Station.

To find other places to visit, photos, ratings, and more tourist information, read Denver sightseeing website .

Boston to Denver is an approximately 6.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight; or drive. The time zone difference moving from Eastern Standard Time (EST) to Mountain Standard Time (MST) is minus 2 hours. When traveling from Boston in June, plan for a bit warmer days and little chillier nights in Denver: temperatures range from 83°F by day to 55°F at night. On the 30th (Tue), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel back home.
