Surfing remains the main reason to take a trip to Tamarindo, as the beachside town is mostly known for its excellent waves.
Step out of Tamarindo to go to Playa Conchal and see Playa Conchal, which is approximately 38 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: tour the pleasant surroundings at Tamarindo Beach, get in on the family fun at Black Stallion Eco Park & Estates, explore and take pictures at Pura Aventura, and kick back and relax at Playa Avellana.

Toronto, Canada to Tamarindo is an approximately 9.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and bus; or drive. The time zone changes from Eastern Standard Time to Central Standard Time, which is usually a -1 hour difference. Traveling from Toronto in February, things will get much hotter in Tamarindo: highs are around 39°C and lows about 25°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 6th (Tue) to allow time to drive to Monteverde.
