Chihuly Garden and Glass and Pike Place Market are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Museum-lovers will appreciate The Museum of Flight and Glasshouse Studio. Step out of Seattle with an excursion to Ed Munro Seahurst Park in Burien--about 38 minutes away. There's still lots to do: wander the streets of Pioneer Square, find something for the whole family at Seattle Great Wheel, pause for some photo ops at Fremont Troll, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Hiram M. Chittenden Locks.

Durham to Seattle is an approximately 7.5-hour combination of bus and flight. You can also do a combination of train, taxi, and flight; or drive. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 3 hours traveling from Durham to Seattle. In July, Seattle is little chillier than Durham - with highs of 78°F and lows of 60°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 23rd (Mon) early enough to catch the train to Mount Rainier National Park.
