Rome, Italy to Las Vegas is an approximately 17.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight. You'll gain 9 hours traveling from Rome to Las Vegas due to the time zone difference. In August, Las Vegas is a bit warmer than Rome - with highs of 45°C and lows of 29°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 18th (Sun) early enough to go by car to Page.

Originally little more than a simple camp constructed to house workers who built a nearby dam on the Colorado River, Page is now a popular stop for travelers preparing a trip to Arizona's canyon country.
Escape the urban bustle at Cape Royal and Little Colorado River Gorge. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Rainbow Bridge National Monument and Navajo Bridge. The adventure continues: let the river carry you with a rafting and tubing tour, enjoy some diversion at Gunfighter Canyon, and see human ingenuity at work at Glen Canyon Dam Overlook.

You can drive from Las Vegas to Page in 5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a shuttle; or do a combination of bus and shuttle. The time zone changes from Pacific Standard Time (PST) to Mountain Standard Time (MST), which is usually a 1 hour difference. Traveling from Las Vegas in August, expect Page to be slightly colder, temps between 39°C and 24°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Wed) to allow enough time to drive to Williams.

A tiny town with big tourist appeal, Williams lies on one of the first highways ever built in America, the iconic "Route 66." The town boasts many inns, motels, restaurants, and shops, although its most important feature is serving as the southern terminus of a scenic railway leading to the area's most famous tourist attraction, the World Heritage-listed Grand Canyon.
Step out of the city life by going to Mather Point and Desert View Watchtower. You'll discover tucked-away gems like South Kaibab Trail and Bearizona Wildlife Park. Get out of town with these interesting Williams side-trips: Grand Canyon National Park (Grand Canyon South Rim, Bright Angel Trail, & more).

Traveling by car from Page to Williams takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of bus and train. Prepare for little chillier weather when traveling from Page in August: high temperatures in Williams hover around 30°C and lows are around 13°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 25th (Sun) so you can drive to Sedona.

Despite its relatively small size, Sedona overflows with tourist appeal.
Visiting Riordan Mansion State Historic Park and Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument will get you outdoors. Get some cultural insight at Walnut Canyon National Monument and Honshin Fine Art. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Sedona: Painted Desert (in Petrified Forest National Park) and Lowell Observatory (in Flagstaff). Aptly nicknamed the "Mile-High City," Denver sits at an altitude of 1,600 m (5,280 ft) above sea level, located right where the Great Plains give way to the Rocky Mountains.
