You'll get in some beach time at Venice Beach and Boardwalk and Manhattan Beach. Step out of the city life by going to Hermosa Beach Pier and Cabrillo Beach. Change things up with a short trip to Zuma Beach in Malibu (about 1h 05 min away). There's still lots to do: immerse yourself in nature at Santa Monica Beach, enjoy the sand and surf at Will Rogers State Beach, get to know the fascinating history of El Pueblo de Los Angeles, and explore the activities along Santa Monica Bay.

Expect a bit cooler weather when traveling from Los Angeles in July: highs in San Diego hover around 28°C, while lows dip to 22°C. On the 30th (Mon), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel to Monterey.
