The coastal town of Kamakura sits close to Tokyo, with the ancient settlement featuring a number of important historical and cultural sites.
On the 19th (Sat), enjoy the sand and surf at Morito Beach, then enjoy the sand and surf at Zushi Beach, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Hase-dera Temple, and finally don't miss a visit to Kōtoku-in.

Tokyo to Kamakura is an approximately 1.5-hour car ride. You can also take a train; or take a bus. When traveling from Tokyo in September, plan for a bit cooler days and about the same nights in Kamakura: temperatures range from 26°C by day to 24°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 19th (Sat) early enough to drive to Hakone-machi.
