Known primarily for its steel-related heritage and 446 bridges, Pittsburgh sits at the confluence of the Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers, which meet to form the Ohio River.
Do your shopping at Cabela's and White House Fruit Farm Inc.. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at The Nationality Rooms and Johnstown Flood National Memorial. Get out of town with these interesting Pittsburgh side-trips: Oglebay Institute Glass Museum (in Wheeling), Tanger Outlet Pittsburgh (in Washington) and Deer Creek Winery (in Shippenville). The adventure continues: admire the masterpieces at Carnegie Museum of Art, stop by Pennsylvania Macaroni Co., contemplate the long history of Fort Ligonier, and wander the streets of The Strip District.
