Paramaribo, Suriname

— 7 nights

Wooden City

With the chance to visit a World Heritage-listed inner city, tours of Paramaribo remain among the most culturally enriching things tourists can do in Suriname.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Historic Inner City of Paramaribo and Stichting Villa Zapakara voor Kind & Cultuur. Het Koto Museum and Saint Peter and Paul Basilica are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Step out of Paramaribo with an excursion to Museum Bakkie in Reynsdorp--about 1h 10 min away. There's lots more to do: look for all kinds of wild species at Celestial Tours Suriname, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Dutch reformed church, take in the views from Jules Wijdenbosch Bridge, and make a trip to Centrale Markt.
