Falmouth is a town in Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States; Barnstable County is coextensive with Cape Cod. Kick off your visit on the 13th (Sat): appreciate the history behind Plymouth Rock, then get engrossed in the history at Plimoth Patuxet Museums, then steep yourself in history at Hoxie House, and finally grab your bike and head to Shining Sea Bikeway. On the next day, kick back and relax at Old Silver Beach, look for all kinds of wild species at Sandwich Fish Hatchery, and then get up close to creatures of the deep with a dolphin and whale watching tour.

You've now added Statue of Liberty National Monument to your itinerary. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at 9/11 Memorial and Ellis Island. Kids will enjoy Central Park and Empire State Building. Step out of New York City to go to Bronx and see Bronx Zoo, which is approximately 36 minutes away. There's still lots to do: admire the masterpieces at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and go for a walk through Times Square.
