Founded in 1535 by Spanish explorer Francisco Pizarro, Lima represents an interesting blend of modern attractions and preserved colonial architecture, much of it clustered in the World Heritage-listed city center.
Kick off your visit on the 15th (Sat): contemplate the long history of Huaca Pucllana, then visit Miraflores, then tour the pleasant surroundings at Circuito Magico Del Agua, and finally contemplate the long history of Basilica y Monasterio de Santo Domingo. Keep things going the next day: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at San Pedro Church (Iglesia de San Pedro), pause for some serene contemplation at Iglesia y Convento de San Francisco, make a trip to Plaza de Armas (Plaza Mayor), then take an in-depth tour of Museo Larco, and finally take in the exciting artwork at Galeria Indigo.

Vienna, Austria to Lima is an approximately 17-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight; or do a combination of shuttle and flight.
