Lima is known for parks, historic sites, museums, shopping, and nightlife. Your plan includes some of its best attractions: ponder the design of Plaza de Armas (Plaza Mayor), get engrossed in the history at Museo Larco, pause for some serene contemplation at Iglesia y Convento de San Francisco, and shop like a local with Shopping Center Larcomar (Centro Comercial Larcomar).

Vancouver, Canada to Lima is an approximately 15-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 3 hours traveling from Vancouver to Lima. Traveling from Vancouver in July, expect nights in Lima to be about the same, around 19°C, while days are a bit cooler, around 22°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 16th (Tue) to allow time to travel to Arequipa.

Hugging the western tip of Lake Titicaca, Puno serves as a melting pot of indigenous and imported cultures, and makes a great base for explorations around the region.
Kick off your visit on the 18th (Thu): head off the coast to Taquile Island and then stroll the grounds of Sillustani. On the next day, make a trip to Chullpas, then explore the activities along Lake Titicaca, and then head off the coast to Uros Floating Islands.
