Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
On the 28th (Sat), explore the world behind art at Galleria Borghese, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Santa Maria in Trastevere, steep yourself in history at St. Peter's Basilica, then admire the landmark architecture of Pantheon, and finally ponder the design of Trevi Fountain. On your second day here, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of St. Louis of the French, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Chiesa di Sant'Ignazio di Loyola, then steep yourself in history at Roman Forum, then delve into the distant past at Palatine Hill, and finally steep yourself in history at Colosseum.

Bengaluru, India to Rome is an approximately 16-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 4 hours traveling from Bengaluru to Rome. Traveling from Bengaluru in September, plan for little chillier nights in Rome, with lows around 18°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 30th (Mon) to allow time for the train ride to Florence.
