Palermo, Sicily

The capital of Sicily, Palermo was founded by the Phoenicians under the name of Ziz.
Change things up with these side-trips from Palermo: Duomo di Monreale (in Monreale) and Riserva Naturale Dello Zingaro (in Castellammare del Golfo). A lovely town easily accessible from almost anywhere in the country, Sorrento overlooks the Bay of Naples and sits right on the Amalfi Drive.

Explore Ravello's surroundings by going to Positano (Il Sentiero Degli Dei & Boat Tours & Water Sports).
