Tamarindo

Surfing remains the main reason to take a trip to Tamarindo, as the beachside town is mostly known for its excellent waves.
We've included these beaches for you: Playa Avellana and Playa Hermosa. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Adrenaline & Extreme Tours and Shark Diving. There's still lots to do: explore and take pictures at Pura Aventura and relax and rejuvenate at some of the top local wellness centers.

Get outdoors at Playa Chiquita and Veragua Rainforest Park. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Playa Cocles and Finca La Isla. Change things up with a short trip to Sloth Sanctuary of Costa Rica in Cahuita (about 40 minutes away). The time zone changes from Eastern Standard Time to Central Standard Time, which is usually a -1 hour difference. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 12th (Mon) to allow time to drive to Manuel Antonio.

The rainforest meets the sea at Manuel Antonio National Park, a small but scenic natural preserve on the west coast of Costa Rica.
On the 13th (Tue), surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Playa Biesanz. On the 14th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: whizz through the canopy at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks and then identify plant and animal life at Rainmaker Park.
