Piran — 3 nights

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
Explore Piran's surroundings by going to Lipica Stud Farm (in Lipica) and Škocjan Caves (in Škocjan). There's lots more to do: don't miss a visit to Tartini Square, look for all kinds of wild species at Wildlife Areas, see the interesting displays at Sergej Mašera Maritime Museum, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of St. Francis of Assisi.

Novo Mesto is the city on a bend of the Krka River in the City Municipality of Novo Mesto in southeastern Slovenia, close to the border with Croatia.
