Founded in 1535 by Spanish explorer Francisco Pizarro, Lima represents an interesting blend of modern attractions and preserved colonial architecture, much of it clustered in the World Heritage-listed city center.
On the 21st (Fri), explore the striking landscape at Marcahuasi. On the 22nd (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Cathedral of Lima, pause for some serene contemplation at Iglesia y Convento de San Francisco, then contemplate the long history of Huaca Pucllana, and finally take a stroll through Miraflores.

Ljubljana, Slovenia to Lima is an approximately 18.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of shuttle and flight. The time zone difference moving from Central European Time to Peru Time is minus 6 hours. Traveling from Ljubljana in December, expect Lima to be much hotter, temps between 28°C and 22°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 22nd (Sat) to allow time to drive to Paracas.
