Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Gandhi Smriti and India Gate. You'll explore and learn at National Museum and Vernssage Art Gallery. Change things up with these side-trips from New Delhi: Akshardham (in Gandhinagar), ISKCON Vrindavan (in Vrindavan) and Heritage Transport Museum (in Taoru). Traveling by flight from New Delhi to Amritsar takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or drive. Traveling from New Delhi in December, expect a bit cooler with lows of 6°C in Amritsar. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 17th (Thu) early enough to travel to Katra.

Katra

Family-friendly places like Nau Devi Temple and Vaishno Devi will thrill your kids. Step out of the city life by going to Moore Plains and Leh–Manali Highway. Take a break from Katra with a short trip to Amar Mahal Museum and Library in Jammu City, about 1h 10 min away. It doesn't end there: don't miss a visit to Bhairo Baba Temple.
