Kick off your visit on the 8th (Sun): wander the streets of Asakusa. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: don't miss a visit to Meiji Jingu Shrine, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Sensō-ji, then enjoy breathtaking views from Tokyo Skytree, and finally take in the exciting artwork at Art Jeunesse Akihabara.

Manama, Bahrain to Tokyo is an approximately 14-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight; or do a combination of flight and train. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 6 hours traveling from Manama to Tokyo. Prepare for little chillier weather when traveling from Manama in September: high temperatures in Tokyo hover around 32°C and lows are around 24°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 10th (Tue) so you can go by car to Fujikawaguchiko-machi.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
You've now added Arashiyama to your itinerary. Start off your visit on the 12th (Thu): admire the landmark architecture of Kyutei Omuro, then contemplate the long history of Sanjusangendo Temple, and then take a stroll through Gion. Keep things going the next day: steep yourself in history at Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine, look for gifts at Kyo no Takumi, and then don't miss a visit to Arashiyama.

Osaka is just a stone's throw from Kyoto. In September, daytime highs in Osaka are 32°C, while nighttime lows are 24°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 16th (Mon) to allow enough time to travel to Ishigaki.

Venture out of the city with trips to Shizuoka (Kunozan Toshogu Shrine & Miho Seacoast (Miho no Matsubara Beach)), Mishima Skywalk (in Mishima) and Odawara Castle (in Odawara). And it doesn't end there: make a trip to Kantsuki Tensho Kimko, identify plant and animal life at Wasabi Fields of Ikadaba, soak in some Japanese tradition at some of the top local onsens, and cruise along Nishiizu Skyline.

Getting from Osaka to Izu by car takes about 4.5 hours. Other options: take a train; or do a combination of flight and train. In September, plan for daily highs up to 30°C, and evening lows to 26°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 19th (Thu) early enough to catch the train to Tokyo.
