Take a trip to Abu Dhabi to discover a modern metropolis built on a strip of land jutting out into the Persian Gulf.
Visit Corniche Beach and Saadiyat Beach Club for some beach relaxation. Shop till you drop at Marina Mall and Folklore Gallery. Spend the 23rd (Sun) spotting exotic species with a safari tour. There's still lots to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, admire the masterpieces at Louvre Abu Dhabi, enjoy the sand and surf at Abu Dhabi Beach, and stroll through Al hudayriat island beach.

Drive from Dubai to Abu Dhabi in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. In August, daily temperatures in Abu Dhabi can reach 50°C, while at night they dip to 37°C. On the 27th (Thu), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can fly back home.
