The first Russian settlement in Siberia, Tyumen now benefits from the wealth of the oil-rich region it calls home.
Museum-lovers will appreciate Historical Park Rossiya - Moya Istoriya and House-Museum of Grigoriy Rasputin. Visit Church of Peter and Pavel and Three Hierarchs Church for their historical value. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Tyumen: Historical and Cultural Center Kazanskiy (in Pokrovskoye) and The Church of St. Nicholas (in Kulakovo).
