Lucerne — 3 nights

In north-central Switzerland, Lucerne represents a small city boasting a well-preserved old town.
Venture out of the city with trips to Zurich (Lake Zurich, Bahnhofstrasse, &more). Next up on the itinerary: contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Lucerne, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Rigi, look for all kinds of wild species at Mt Pilatus, and take in the views from Chapel Bridge.

As one of the country's oldest ski resorts, Grindewald serves as a prime example of a cozy Swiss ski town.
When in Grindelwald, make a side trip to see Lake Brienz in Brienz, approximately Brienz away. There's lots more to do: take in the awesome beauty at Jungfraujoch, explore the activities along Bachalpsee Lake, stroll through Lieselotte Trail, and explore the striking landscape at Aletsch Glacier.

The capital and political center of Switzerland, Bern sits on a peninsula formed by the U-shaped River Aare.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Bern: Chateau de Chillon (in Veytaux), Montreux Lakeside (in Montreux) and Interlaken (Buchhandlung Boedeli, Harderkulm, &more).
