City of the Kings

Founded in 1535 by Spanish explorer Francisco Pizarro, Lima represents an interesting blend of modern attractions and preserved colonial architecture, much of it clustered in the World Heritage-listed city center.
Visit Huaca Pucllana and Centro Historico de Lima for their historical value. Visiting Reserva Nacional Lomas de Lachay and SB Divers will get you outdoors. There's much more to do: wander the streets of Miraflores, take an in-depth tour of Museo Convento San Francisco y Catacumbas, stop by Barranco, and walk around Parque Kennedy - Parque Central de Miraflores.

If you are flying in from Saudi Arabia, the closest major aiport is Jorge Chávez International Airport. In October, daily temperatures in Lima can reach 24°C, while at night they dip to 19°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 12th (Wed) so you can go by car to Paracas.

A port town largely devoted to tourism, Paracas serves as a popular starting point for exploration of Peru's south coast.
Start off your visit on the 13th (Thu): kick back and relax at Playa Roja and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Playa de la Mina. Here are some ideas for day two: see Off-Road Tours, glide through the air with a parasailing or paragliding tour, and then head off the coast to Islas Ballestas.
