Casablanca

— 5 nights
The port of Casablanca, Morocco's largest city and economic hub, represents the country's beating heart, established as a French protectorate in 1912.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Food Tours and Mahkama du Pacha. Spend the 2nd (Wed) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. The adventure continues: take in the spiritual surroundings of Hassan II Mosque, wander the streets of Quartier Habous, steep yourself in history at Ettedgui Synagogue, and stop by Jerraflore.

For ratings, maps, and more tourist information, read our Casablanca day trip planning tool.

Stockholm, Sweden to Casablanca is an approximately 8-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and bus; or take a bus. You'll gain 1 hour traveling from Stockholm to Casablanca due to the time zone difference. Plan for a bit warmer temperatures traveling from Stockholm in June, with highs in Casablanca at 28°C and lows at 22°C. On the 6th (Sun), you'll travel to Kenitra.

El Jadida

— 5 nights
Resting on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, El Jadida seamlessly blends Moroccan and European cultural influences and remains a remarkable example of how Portuguese colonists integrated Renaissance ideals into their construction technology.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Portuguese City and Le Port d'El Jadida. Go for a jaunt from El Jadida to Azemmour to see Shrine of Rabbi Abraham Moul Niss about 32 minutes away. The adventure continues: admire the striking features of Portuguese Cistern, steep yourself in history at Kasbah Boulaouane, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Mosquee de la Cite Portugaise, and explore the ancient world of Fahs d'Azemmour (Fahs Lamdjahdine).

Morocco travel guide

4.1
Diverse in landscapes and cultures, Morocco has long been a popular tourist destination, offering many quintessential North African vistas, sounds, and tastes. The ancient medinas of the main cities have retained their look and feel over the centuries, with bustling markets of colorful spice stalls, leather tanning in the streets, and teahouses. The dunes of the Sahara and the peaks of the High Atlas mountains battle for the interest of tourists on holiday in Morocco, with each possessing impressive, picturesque scenery, and hidden-away traditional villages, filled with crafts, carpets, and a rural way of life.
