While often overshadowed by the Amalfi Coast's array of quaint villages, Salerno has become one of the region's main areas for culture and entertainment, while remaining relatively unmarked by tourism.
Venture out of the city with trips to Monte Finestra (in Tramonti) and Sentiero dei Limoni (in Maiori). There's much more to do: don't miss a visit to Pompeii Archaeological Park, examine the collection at Museo Roberto Papi, stroll the grounds of Salerno War Cemetery, and get to know the fascinating history of Il Vecchio Centro Storico di Romagnano al Monte.

Buenos Aires, Argentina to Salerno is an approximately 18.5-hour combination of flight and train. You can also fly. Positano

Often referred to as the gem of the Amalfi Coast, Positano remains one of southern Italy's most sought-after vacation locales, thanks to its hillside location and picturesque, pastel buildings.
On the 31st (Fri), indulge your senses at some of the top wineries in the area. On the next day, admire the natural beauty at Villa Cimbrone Gardens, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Duomo di Sant'Andrea, and then take in the pleasant sights at Sentiero degli dei (Path of the Gods).
