High in the Andean foothills, Quito remains one of the world's most photogenic capital cities, featuring two dramatic mountain ranges as its backdrop.
Head to Olga Fisch Folklore and Otavalo Marketfor some retail therapy. Appreciate the collections at Casa Museo Guayasamin and Centro de Arte Contemporáneo de Quito. Venture out of the city with trips to Otavalo (Mercado 24 de Mayo & Municipio de Otavalo). There's still lots to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Fundacion Iglesia de la Compania, admire the masterpieces at La Capilla Del Hombre, see the interesting displays at Museo Casa del Alabado, and take an in-depth tour of Museo Templo del Sol Pintor Ortega Maila.
