Eskdale is a glacial valley and civil parish in the western Lake District National Park in Cumbria, England. Kick off your visit on the 10th (Sat): delve into the distant past at Castlerigg Stone Circle and then explore the activities along Derwentwater. Keep things going the next day: stroll through Catbells Lakeland Walk and then trek along Old Man of Coniston.

Situated on the confluence of the rivers Ouse and Foss, York has witnessed an abundance of major political events throughout its two millennia of existence.
Visit York Minster and National Railway Museum for their historical value. Escape the urban bustle at Sandsend Beach and Falling Foss Tea Garden and Waterfall. When in York, make a side trip to see Robin Hoods Bay Beach in Robin Hoods Bay, approximately 1h 15 min away.
