Set against the backdrop of the imposing Arenal Volcano, La Fortuna de San Carlos offers visitors a chance to explore diverse natural landscapes and sample some delicious local produce.
Visiting Butterfly Conservatory and Arenal Natura Ecological Park will get you outdoors. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Paradise Hot Springs and Los Lagos Hot Springs. Change things up with a short trip to Arenal Eco Zoo in El Castillo (about 38 minutes away). The adventure continues: get impressive views of Cerro Chato (Chato Volcano), head outdoors with Canopy San Luis, view the masterpieces at Onirica Art Gallery, and Head underground at Venado Caves.
