A trip to Banos, a relatively small town in the picturesque Andean highlands, ensures plenty of chances for outdoor activities like horseback riding, hiking, climbing, canyoning, and mountain biking.
Servi Taxi Banos has been added to your itinerary. Family-friendly places like Pailon del Diablo (Devil's Cauldron) and Church of the Virgin of the Holy Water (Nuestra Senora del Agua Santa) will thrill your kids. Get out of town with these interesting Banos side-trips: Puyo (Jardin Botanico las Orquideas, Zoorefugio Tarqui, &more), Ambato (Parque Provincial de la Familia, Juan Benigno Vela Park, &more) and Nate Saint House (in Shell). The adventure continues: fly like a bird with a parasailing or paragliding tour, indulge in some personalized pampering at some of the best spas, whizz through the canopy at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, and get the adrenaline pumping with an extreme tour.

For traveler tips, maps, photos, and tourist information, use the Banos travel route planning tool.

If you are flying in from Canada, the closest major aiports are Cotopaxi International Airport, Mariscal Sucre International Airport and José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 13th (Fri) early enough to take a bus to Riobamba.
