An exceptionally diverse landscape and varied wildlife have made Yellowstone National Park one of America's most popular parks.
Step out of Yellowstone National Park to go to Grand Teton National Park and see Grand Teton, which is approximately 1h 25 min away. There's much more to do: identify plant and animal life at Lamar Valley, witness a stunning natural landmark at Grand Prismatic Spring, and explore the stunning scenery at Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.

Springfield to Yellowstone National Park is an approximately 11-hour combination of flight, bus, and taxi. You can also drive; or take a bus. The time zone changes from Central Standard Time (CST) to Mountain Standard Time (MST), which is usually a -1 hour difference. Expect little chillier weather when traveling from Springfield in June: highs in Yellowstone National Park hover around 66°F, while lows dip to 34°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 27th (Wed) early enough to go by car to Cody.

A genuine cowboy city, Cody is famous for its nightly rodeos and its proximity to the protected wilderness areas of the world's first national park, now designated as one of the country's World Heritage Sites.
Heart Mountain Interpretive Center and Museum of the Plains Indian are good opportunities to explore the local culture. You'll explore and learn at Cody Dug Up Gun Museum and Whitney Gallery. There's lots more to do: examine the collection at Cody Firearms Research, learn more about the world around you at Draper Natural History Museum, steep yourself in history at Old Trail Town, and take an in-depth tour of Buffalo Bill Center of the West.

You can drive from Yellowstone National Park to Cody in 2.5 hours. Traveling from Yellowstone National Park in June, things will get a bit warmer in Cody: highs are around 73°F and lows about 50°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 30th (Sat) so you can travel to Santa Fe.

Santa Fe continuously ranks among the world's top holiday destinations, attracting visitors with its unusual combination of scenic beauty, rich history, cultural diversity, and high concentration of performing arts venues, fine restaurants, and interesting attractions.
Palace of the Governors and Andrew Smith Gallery will appeal to museum buffs. Canyon Road and Loretto Chapel will appeal to history buffs. Explore Santa Fe's surroundings by going to Bandelier National Monument (in Los Alamos) and Puye Cliff Dwellings (in Espanola). There's lots more to do: examine the collection at Harrell House of Natural Oddities, cruise along The Plaza, pause for some serene contemplation at Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, and admire the masterpieces at Georgia O'Keeffe Museum.

You can fly from Cody to Santa Fe in 5.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and shuttle; or drive. When traveling from Cody in June, plan for a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Santa Fe: temperatures range from 88°F by day to 54°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 4th (Wed) so you can drive to Taos.

Many residents have shunned fast-paced city living for Taos's laid-back vibe and blend of Spanish, Native American, and Anglo cultures.
Museum-lovers will appreciate Millicent Rogers Museum and Fort Garland Museum. Explore hidden gems such as Philmont Scout Ranch and Vietnam Veterans Memorial. When in Taos, make a side trip to see Stations of the Cross Shrine in San Luis, approximately 1h 35 min away. It doesn't end there: delve into the distant past at Taos Pueblo and snap pictures at Rio Grande Gorge Bridge.

You can drive from Santa Fe to Taos in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Traveling from Santa Fe in July, things will get slightly colder in Taos: highs are around 84°F and lows about 52°F.
