Often referred to as "The Paris of the North," Riga offers thriving nightlife and some of the best collections of Art Nouveau architecture in Europe.
Get out of town with these interesting Riga side-trips: Jomas iela (in Jurmala), Bauska (Bauska Castle & The branch of the Riga Motor Museum in Bauska) and Rundāle Palace (in Pilsrundale). There's much more to do: wander the streets of Old City Riga (Vecriga), pause for some photo ops at Freedom Monument, don't miss a visit to Riga Town Hall Square, and admire the landmark architecture of Alberta Iela.
