Tacoma is a mid-sized urban port city in and the county seat of Pierce County, Washington, United States. Explore Tacoma's surroundings by going to Bellevue (Bellevue Botanical Garden & Mercer Slough Nature Park). Originally built as a base for Vail Ski Resort, the town of Vail has blossomed into its own destination, but still has less than 6,000 permanent residents.
Kick off your visit on the 29th (Fri): don't miss a visit to Main Street and then admire all the interesting features of Independence Pass. Here are some ideas for day two: admire the natural beauty at Betty Ford Alpine Gardens and then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Vail Mountain Resort.
