Island of the Gods

The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO. The World Heritage-listed volcanic island includes the country's highest peak, sets of impressive lava tubes and columns, and several crater lakes.
You'll get in some beach time at Hyeopjae Beach and Woljeongri Beach. Take a break from the city and head to Daepo Haean Jusangjeolli Cliff and Hamdeok Beach. Change things up with these side-trips from Jeju: Seogwipo (Jeongbang Waterfall, Yongmeori Beach, &more). Spend the 3rd (Sat) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. The adventure continues: take a peaceful walk through Bijarim Forest, take in nature's colorful creations at Hallim Park, Head underground at Manjanggul Cave, and kick back and relax at Gwakji Gwamul Beach.

Chennai, India to Jeju is an approximately 14.5-hour flight. The time zone changes from India Standard Time to Korean Standard Time, which is usually a 3.5 hour difference. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Tue) to allow enough time to fly to Busan.

Busan

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Kick off your visit on the 7th (Wed): explore the world behind art at Busan Museum of Art, kick back and relax at Haeundae Beach, and then kick back and relax at Gwangalli Beach. Here are some ideas for day two: browse the eclectic array of goods at Busan Gamcheon Culture Village and then stroll the grounds of UN Memorial Cemetery.

Traveling by flight from Jeju to Busan takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of ferry and car; or do a combination of ferry, taxi, and train. In April, daily temperatures in Busan can reach 22°C, while at night they dip to 10°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Thu) early enough to drive to Gyeongju.

Museum Without Walls

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
Start off your visit on the 9th (Fri): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Bulguksa Temple and then contemplate the long history of Gyeongju Historic Area. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: contemplate the long history of Cheonmachong Tomb, explore the activities along Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, then see the interesting displays at Gyeongju National Museum, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Gyeongju Hyanggyo.

Traveling by car from Busan to Gyeongju takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus; or take a train. Traveling from Busan in April, expect nights in Gyeongju to be somewhat warmer, around 14°C, while days are a bit cooler, around 14°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 10th (Sat) to allow time to fly to Seoul.

Seoul

One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Shop till you drop at Myeongdong Shopping Street and Namdaemun Market. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Trickeye Museum Seoul and National Folk Museum of Korea. There's lots more to do: get engrossed in the history at Gyeongbokgung Palace, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Myeong-dong Cathedral, take a stroll through Insadong, and contemplate the long history of Deoksugung.
